Step-by-step explanation:

AGE OF A'S=5X

AGE OF B'S =6X

AFTER 4 YEARS......

AGE OF A'S=(5X+4)years

AGE OF B'S=(6X+4)years

5x+4/6x+4=6/7

multiply both sides.....

7(5x+4)=6(6x+4)

35x+28=36×+24

35×-36x=24-28

-x=-4

x=4

AGE OF A'S=5X=5×4=20 years

AGE OF B'S=6X=6×4=24years

Step-by-step explanation:

let their present ages A be x and B be y

one year ago their ages are x-1 and y-1

their ratios is 5:6 so

x-1:y-1=5:6

6x-6=5y-5 [cross multiply]

6x-5y-1=0------eq1

and their ages after 4years are x+4 and y+4

their ratios are 6:7

x+4:y+4=6:7

7x+28=6y+24 [cross multiply]

7x-6y+4=0------eq 2

multiply eq 1×6 and eq 2×5 we get

42x-30y-6=0 and other eq

36x-30y+20=0 subtract them

6x-26=0

x=26/6

and y=24/5 mark me as brainliest and do follow me
