Taking x as the constant

Last year A”s income = 3x and B’s = 4x (3:4)

A’ s last year's and this year's Income Ratio =4:5.

This means that 4/9 of A’s income is represented by 3. This year it has increased to 5/9. Hence

When 4/9=3x then 5/9= 5/9×3×9/4=15/4x…being A’s present income ratio (1)

Similarly B’s last year’s and this year’s income is 2:3.

This means that 2/5 of B’s income is represented by 4. This year it has increased to 3/5. Hence when 2/5=4,

then

3/5 = 3/5×4×5/2= 6. (2)

Therefore Ratio of the incomes of A and B this year is 15/4 : 6 or 15:24 = 5:8

It is given that the sum of their incomes is Rs.4160/- Hence:

A’s income = 4160 × 5/13 = Rs.1600/-

sry for wrong answer

instead of 4160 enter 3250 at last calculation.

other calculation are same.
