solution 1

displacement is

 = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}  \\  = 2(1) +  \frac{1}{2} 5(1) {}^{2}  = 2 + 2.5 \\ =  4.5 \:  \: m

now.

solution 2

m=500kg

u=10m/s

v=0

s=50 m

now....v=u-at

0=10-at

at=10

now.....s=u(t)-0.5at(t)

50=t[u-0 .5(at)]

=>50=t[10-0.5(10)]

=>50/5=t

= t=10 sec

now... acceleration (a)=10/10=1m/s²

therefore ...

f=ma

=>f=1500(1). N

=>force =1500N
