Hey there!
It seems like a Brain teaser.. !! Let us try to solve this Teaser :)

When the friends paid Rs.100 dollars, they had paid Rs.300 in total.

When the Cashier gave Rs.50 dollars to the Waiter,
the 3 friends had paid Rs.250 to the Cashier and Rs.50 to the Waiter.

When the Waiter returns 30 rupees, the 3 friends had paid Rs.250 to the Cashier and Rs.20 to the Waiter.

Rs.250 + Rs.20 = Rs.270 = 3 x Rs.90.

Cheers!
