So Volume of metal used would be 3846.5 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Radius = 3 cm

Height = 1 m = 100 cm

Width = 0.5 cm

So r = 3+ 0 .5 = 3.5 cm

To Find:

Volume = ?

Solution:

We are given with the formula to find the volume of a pipe by the formula

Volume = π r² h

Now Putting in the values

Volume = 3.14 *(3.5)² * 100

Computing it

Volume = 3846.5 cm³

So Volume of metal used would be 3846.5 cm³
The answer is this .

R = 3 cm
r= 3- 0.5 = 2.5cm
h= 100 cm

it is cylinder definitely

then use,

volume of hollow cylinder = pieR^2 h - pie r^2 h
= pie h (R^2 - r^2)
= 22/7 ×100 ( 9- 6.25 )
= 2200/7 ( 2 .75)
= 22/7 × 275
= 6050/ 7 cm^3
= 864.285 cm^3
