only green part of the plants are helping in preparing food whereas the thick stem tree trunk or roots are unable to do so. give reasons​

Explanation:

The green part of plant i.e. leaves, young stem have chlorophyll pigment that's why these are green . This chlorophyll pigment helps in making food by photosynthesis, in which they absorb sun light and by help of CO2 and water they make food .

The other part of plant like trunk,branches do not have chlorophyll so they are non green & do not have capacity to photosynthesis .
