Yes only loud sound create noise pollution. According to the Environment protection Agency, the best way to protect your hearing is to limit noise levels to 70 decibels. And expert agree that continued exposure to noise above 85 decibels will eventually harm your hearing.

I ride the subway for hours everyday and it's really really loud. When loud sounds pass into the ears and at high enough intensity they bend those hair cells, and they can bounce back during a recovery period. But with enough noise over enough time those hair cells get permanently damaged or destroyed.

Yes. Noise pollution is form of pollution that is caused by the loud noises produced by several means. It could be loud auto mobile horn, loud music, loud conversations, basically any sound that is above the safe hearing standard is loud.

This cause mental stress and anxiety to some people. It can have a direct effect on the hearing of a person and in some cases causes frustration.
