Only visible movement can't be used as a defining character of life because, whether an organism is living or not is mainly understood by the molecular movement of the organism.

In support, I would like to quote an example of plants. Plants do not move from their places like human or birds or animals do but they are still alive. Just like other living creatures on earth, they respire, they feed, they grow but they do not show any visible movement.
