no..the stream of water doesn't get broken..

it is because the attraction forces in between the molecules of water...

that hold them together..
so we can't break their attraction..

HOOE IT HELPS

PriyamPathak: it is called kinetic molecular theory
PriyamPathak: in solid force of attraction is more and intermolecular space is negligible
PriyamPathak: in liquid force of attraction of molecule is less and intermolecular space is more
AmritaLaasya1: as per ur explaination, liquids then could be breaken in their stream ..,

No, a stream of water cannot be broken with fingers because attractive forces bind water molecules together.

Matter occupies space and possesses mass. Matter consists of small invisible particles called atoms. These indivisible particles are held together by intermolecular forces.

This force holds together the particles. The strength of this attraction force varies from matter to matter. Therefore, a stream of water cannot be broken with fingers because attractive forces bind water molecules together.
