The journey from the top of the pass to Hor was quite bumpy. Beofre careering down, they all took a turn round a cairn of rocks. As they came to lower altitude, the author’s headache was gone.
The descent brought them to a plateau on which was a salt lake. The author and his companions ate their lunch in a canvas tent. Workers were busy making salt.
By late afternoon they reached Hor.
