5x + 2y = 16.............(1) \\ 7x - 4y = 2...............(2) \\  \\  \frac{5}{7}  =  \frac{2}{4}  =  \frac{16}{2}  \\  \frac{5}{7}  \: not \: equal \: to \:  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{a1}{a2}  \: not \: equal \: to \:  \frac{b1}{b2}

so it have unique solution.

5x + 2y = 16 -(i)

7x - 4y = 2 -(ii)

Now from (i) and (ii) ,we get

a = 5 , b = 2 , c = -16

A = 7 , B = -4 , C = -2

Then,

a/A = 5/7

and, b/B = 2/-4 =-1/2

So,

a/A is not equal to b/B

Therefore, it has unique solutions.
