Answer:
1. ALVEOLI are the very small air sacs where the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide takes place. CAPILLARIES are blood vessels in the walls of the alveoli. Blood passes through the capillaries, entering through your PULMONARY ARTERY and leaving via your PULMONARY VEIN.
2. Blood: Plasma and Red Blood Cells
Oxygen is carried in the blood in two forms: (1) dissolved in plasma and RBC water (about 2% of the total) and (2) reversibly bound to hemoglobin (about 98% of the total).
3. Cellular respiration is the process of oxidizing food molecules, like glucose, to carbon dioxide and water. The energy released is trapped in the form of ATP for use by all the energy-consuming activities of the cell. The process occurs in two phases: glycolysis, the breakdown of glucose to pyruvic acid.
4.anaerobic respiration:
Cellular respiration that proceeds without oxygen is called anaerobic respiration.
5.Combustion is faster as compared to respiration because in respiration, food is oxidized in a step-wise manner to release energy. In combustion, all the fuel burns in a single step to release energy.
Answer:
1. Alveoli
2.Plasma
3. Glucose
4.anaerobic respiration.
