The large box had (2x + 10) number of oranges in total.

Step-by-step explanation:

The large box with oranges is emptied and the oranges are filled in some small boxes. When the oranges are filled to small boxes from the large boxes then it fills two small boxes and there remain 10 oranges left.

If the number of oranges that fill the small boxes is x, then in two boxes there will be a 2x number of oranges and there remain 10 oranges left.

Therefore, the large box had a (2x + 10) number of oranges in total. (Answer)
