ordinary rubber is an insulator. but the special tyres of aircraft are made slightly conducting . why is this neccesory

because plane is charged nd this need to discharge that is why tyres r slightly conductor so the charge is discharge to ground

The tyres of aircrafts are highly charged during landing to friction between the tyres and the airstrip. If the tyres are slightly conducting, the charge will not accumulate on them and will leak to the earth.

This is the reason why special tyres of aircraft are made slightly conducting as ordinary rubber is an insulator.
