A(0,5) _______________B(-3,1)
Let A(0,3) be (x₁,y₁) and B(-3,1) be (x₂,y₂) .
BY DISTANCE FORMULA:
√(x₂-x₁)²+(y₂-y₁)²
=√0-(-3)²+ (5-1)²
=√(0+3)² + (5-1)²
=√9+16
=√25= 5units
