Organic chemistry is the study of the compounds which are found from living beings. All the organic compounds consist of carbon and hydrogen molecules along with other molecules.

organic was previously known to be the study of substances occurring naturally from living organisms but later the definition was revised and the definition stated that organic chemistry is a branch of study of science which deals with the study of carbon and its compounds..
since many carbon compounds were prepared artificially the older definition was deleted..
