water enter and exit through plasma membrane by th process of osmosis whereas, diffusion is the process by which gases moved from higher concentration to the lower concentration.....

Hey here is your answer,
Osmosis = low to high.
Diffusion = high to low.
In absirption.For example Badam.If we keep the badam in water for few hours,then it will increase in size.
