Fraction of the Cake left=

1  (the whole cake) - the amount he gave

=1 - 3/8 as the cake was divided into 8 pieces

=8/8-3/8 (Take LCM)

=5/8

He is left with 5/8 or 5 eighths of a cake

Hope it helps!

Naushu: u copied it from net
sujiljini: Nope i typed it all by my hand.

if we assume that einsten has baked a cake and cutted into 8 equal pieces.

each piece=1/8
distributed part=(1/8+1/8+1/8)=3/8
temaining cake with einsten=1-3/8
=(8-3/8)
=(5/8)
....(5/8)is the fraction of cake left.

HOPE THIS HELPS U ALOT
