Our elders always teach us that we must be content with what we have. We must be thankful to God because we are blessed with a lot. However, a human being’s greed is endless and more often than not, this greed leaves us in despair, guilt and regret. Life also has its subtle ways of punishing/teaching us and making us undergo a realization. Do you agree? Justify the statement through ‘The Thief’s Story’ OR ‘The Necklace’.

Explanation:

Yes, I agree with it.

Accordingly, as we consider the example of 'The Thief's Story', we come to know how a thief tries to value humanity and love of the person, who was going to teach him the real meaning of life!

From the story, 'The Necklace', we can easily understand how one should be happy with what one has. The lady in this story, becomes sad with the content she has and takes her friend's necklace. But, after losing it, she works hard to buy a new one. This tells us how we should be satisfied with what we have!
