So some science about hair growth.

All body hair grows in a cycle. It’s continuous and repeats multiples times throughout your entire life.

The first phase is called the Anagen Phase.

This phase is the growth phase. It’s the phase in which the hair gains length. This process varies depending on the different parts of our bodies and the process also varies from individual to individual.

This is why some people can grow long and luscious lengths of hair while others cap out at maybe a foot or so.

The second phase is the Catagen Phase.

This is less of a phase onto itself and more of a transitional period from the Antogen phase to the final phase. That being said, it’s absolutely a phase.

The final phase is the Telogen Phase.

This is the point where your hair follicle goes into a remission period and the hair falls out. This happens on a regular basis for all of the hair throughout your body. You likely never noticed it because your hair all does it at different periods.

So why does the hair on your head get long while the hair on your body doesn’t?

Because the hair on your head has a genetic setting that allows the Antogen phase to last for years at a time.

The hair on the rest of the body has a much shorter Antogen setting which means your hair of rest of the body doesn't grow further.

Hairs are pretty amazing stuff. It sprouts from almost every inch of skin from our bodies-only palms of our hands, soles of our feet and our lips are fuzz free. But why do only hairs on heads grow faster and not on other parts like eyelashes and eyebrows the answer there are 3 phases to hair growth cycle anagen(growth), catagen(transition phase), and telogen(resting phase).

About 85 % of hais on our head are in anagen phase thats why they are growing very fast. But hairs in other parts don't have anagen phase in this much %. They have telogen and catagenphase.
