Question : Our teacher said to us, "Don't waste your time." (Change into Indirect Speech)

Answer : Our teacher advised us not to waste our time.

Rules :

  1. The Reported Speech is in Imperative Mood and this is meant to be changed into Infinite Mood using "to" instead of "that".

  2. We have to understand in what sense the speaker spoke so- Command, Request, Advice, Suggest, Instruct.

  3. This is a Negative Imperative Sentence case so we use "not" before "to".
