Answer:

Percent of non vegetarian students is 67%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, total number of students are 1800 and 40% are girls and rest are boys.

We know,

x\% \: of \: y =  \frac{x}{100}  \times y =  \frac{xy}{100}

Here number of girls

= 40% of total students =40% of 1800 = \frac{40}{100} \times 1800 \\ = 40 \times 18 \\ = 720

So, number of boys

 = (1800 - 720) = 1080

Again given that 25% of the boys and 45% of girls are vegetarians.

So, number of vegetarian boys = 25\% \: of \: 1080 = \frac{25}{100} \times 1080 = 270

and number of vegetarian girls

 = 45\% \: of \: 720 = \frac{45}{100} \times 720 = 324

Therefore total number of vegetarian students = (270 + 324) = 594

Now,total number of non vegetarian students= Total number of students - vegetarian students = 1800 - 594 = 1206

Here total number of students is 100%

So 1800 means 100%

By Unitary method,

1 means \frac{100}{1800} \%

and 1206 means \frac{100}{1800} \times 1206\%= 67\%

Percent of non vegetarian students is 67%.
