Out of 45 dozen papers, 5 quire papers were used for the
printing and 84 papers were spoilt. How many dozen papers
remained in the stock?

This is correct answer.

45 dozen papers = 540 papers

5 quires = 5 X 25 = 125

------------------------------------------------------------

5 quires were used for printing and 84 papers were spoilt.

• Paper remaining = 540 - 125 - 84 = 331

• One dozen = 12 papers

Therefore, 331 ÷ 12 = 28
