Answer:

Let the breadth of the field be x.

So, length = 3x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

400 = 2(3x + x)

400 = 2 × 4x

8x = 400

x = 400/8

x = 50

Length = 3x = 50 × 3 = 150 m

Breadth = x = 50 m

Consider the breadth of a rectangular field be x

So its length will be 3x

We know that Area of rectangle =2(l+b)

From given condition

2(x+3x)=400

2×4x=400

4x=400/2

4x=200

x=200/4

x=50

Now let us find its length

Length =3x=3×50=150

Thus the length of the field is 150 m while its breadth is 50 m
