35% of 6 kg was left that mean 65% is consumed.

so 65% of 6 kg = 65 × 6 / 100 = 3.9 kg

So 3.9 kg was consumed out of 6 kg

Answer:

Total amount of rice = 6 kg

let the amount of rice consumed = x

amount of rice = 35% of x =

 \frac{35}{100}  \times 6

Total amount of rice is = total amount of rice consumed + total amount of rice left

6  = x +  \frac{35}{100}  \times 6

x = 6 -  \frac{35}{100}  \times 6

x  = 6(1 - \frac{35}{100} )

 \frac{6 \times (100 - 35)}{100}

 \frac{6 \times 65}{100}

3.9

the amount of rice consumed in 3.9 kg
