Let, a boy has Rs. X

Then, given that : Boy spends 3/5,and then 1/4of the remainder and then he has Rs. left

According to the question :

X × (1-3/5)×(1-1/4) = 15

=> X × 2/5 × 3/4 = 15

=> X = (15×5×4)/(2×3)

=> X = 50

So, he had Rs. 50 total at first.
