75% of the total applicants  appear for the test

Step-by-step explanation:

total applicants = 80

number of persons failed in the test = 20

then

percentage of number of person failed

= 20 of 80

= \frac{20}{80}\times 100

= \frac{100}{4}

= 25%

i.e 25% person failed in the test

then total percentage = 100%

failed percentage = 25%

percent of the total applicants  appear for the test = 100%-25% = 75%

hence , 75% of the total applicants  appear for the test
