let total income be ₹100

Rent
=₹100×20%
=₹80

household
=₹80×70%
=₹24

therefore the total Income
=₹1800×100÷24
=₹7500

Therefore
a. 7500

Answer:

Rs 7500

Step-by-step explanation:

Out of his total income anupam spends 20% of his income on rent, and 70% of the rest on house hold expenses. If he saves rs 1800 what is his total income? Select one: a. 7500 b. 5000 c. 5500 d. 6500

Let say Anupam Total income = Rs x

He spend 20 % on Rent

So spent on rent = (20/100) x = 0.2x

Remaining Amount = x - 0.2x = 0.8x

70% of remaining spent on house hold expenses

70 % of Remaining = (70/100) * 0.8x = 0.56x

Net remaining amount = 0.8x - 0.56x = 0.24x

Net Saving = 0.24 x

Net Saving = Rs 1800

=> 0.24 x = 1800

=> x = 1800/0.24

=> x = 7500

Anupam Total income = Rs 7500
