Good morning respected Principal mam, worthy teachers, seniors and my dear friends. Today I, shreya of class 9th A, present here to deliver a short speech on the topic "pandit Jawaharlal Nehru"

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the only son of Pandit Motilal Nehru. He was the worthy son of a worthy father. He was born at Allahabad on the 14th November , 1889. He came of an aristocratic family. He received his early education through governesses and private tutors at home.

When his family went on a tour to Europe, he was admitted to the Harrow Public School in England. He received education at Harrow and Cambridge. He became a bar - at - law in 1912. He returned to India and joined the bar at the Allahabad High Court.

He soon became a prominent figure in India, he was so much loved and respected by the people that he was elected president of the Indian National Congress in 1929. He was elected president of the Congress many times.

Pandit Nehru was sincere, honest, dignified. He had wonderful capacity for self effacement and compromise. His sufferings anf sacrifices have no parallel in history, the change from Princely luxuries to the doom of a protracted real life was a big change. He was a unique example of self sacrifice, he had wonderful energy and ability.

He was a great scholar and wrote a number of good books. It was who held Aloft India's banner of Independence and lead India to glory.

At last he was died on 27 may 1964, with heart attack.

May his soul rest in peace _/\_
