tetra amine di chlorido platinium(2) tetra chlorido platinium(4) where oxidation state of pt is 2 solution is let o.s of pt x then x+4(0)+(-2)+x+(-4)=0 ; 2x=6 x=3 but platinum can't show +3 so it can show +2,+4
