During continuous physical exercise such as running, walking over long distances, swimming etc. our muscles work too fast without getting enough oxygen. In this situation, they start working in the absence of oxygen(Anaerobic respiration) to provide more energy.

This respiration's product is Lactic acid. The accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles gives us a feeling of fatigue. This is a condition which may be called as Oxygen-debt.
