take a beaker filler with water fix a funnel into the beaker , place fresh hydrilla twigs into the funnel,invert a test tube over the funnel(see that there are no air bubbles )
add a pinch of sodium bicarbonate into the beaker , leave it for 5-6 hours
You will notice a gas at the base of the inverted test tube .
To prove that it is oxygen take a glowing splinter and place it near the gas it glows more brightly so, we can say that it is oxygen as oxygen supports combustion.
Hence,oxygen is produced during photosynthesis
