(a) Water

Photosynthesis is the process through which the green plants prepare food by absorbing the sunlight through its green parts containing chlorophyll and absorbing water from the roots.

This water absorbed by the roots is converted during the process of photosynthesis into oxygen. This oxygen is then released in the atmosphere and proves to be beneficial for living beings. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in exchange.
