P and Q are aqueous solutions of sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide respectively, Which of these will turn blue litmus red and which trrns red litmus blue

Since P is the aqueous solution of sodium chloride, it is neutral in nature, and therefore the litmus paper will not turn into any color.

On the other hand, Q is the solution of Sodium hydroxide, so it turns red litmus paper blue because it is an alkaline substance.

whereas solution Q is of Sodium hydroxide , which us basic in nature ; this will change red litmus to blue .
