Complimentary means they sum to 90°

so P+Q=90°

so, y+2y+30°=90°

3y=60°

y=20°

So, P=2y+30=2×20+30=40+30=70°

Q=y=20°

Answer:

Given that

1st angle = y

2nd angle = 2y + 30

So accordingly, complementary angles have 90 degrees, so...

y + 2y + 30 = 90

3y + 30 = 90

3y = 90-30

3y = 60

y = 60/3

y = 20

So 1st angle is y = 20 degree

2nd angle is 2y + 30 =2*20 + 30 = 70

Hence 20 and 70 are the angles respectively.
