Given :

g(x) = k² - 4k + 3

roots of g(x) = p and q

To find :

the value of p⁴ q³ + p³ q⁴

Solution :

k² - 4k + 3

by middle term splitting

k² - k - 3k + 3

k(k - 1) -3 (k - 1)

(k - 3) (k - 1)

therefore roots are,

→ k - 3 = 0 , k = 3

→ k -1 = 0 , k = 1

→ Thus , p = 3 , q = 1

by putting the values

p⁴q³ + p³q⁴

(3⁴) × (1³) + (3³) × (1⁴)

81 + 27

108 (option d)
