When parallelogram and triangle are on the same base and between same parallelsthen area of triangle is half that of the parallelogram.ar. RAB = 12ar ABCD −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−(1)ar. PAB = 12ar. ABCD−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−(2)From (1) and (2)ar.  PAB = ar. RABar. ABCD = 2 ar. PABar. PAB = 8 cm2ar. ABCD = 2×8 = 16 cm2
