P is twice as efficient as q. q takes 12 days to complete a job. if both of them work together how much time will they tabke to complete the job

So, P will complete work in days = \frac{12}{2}=6

q can do a part of work in 1 day = \frac{1}{12}

P can do a part of work in 1 day =  \frac{1}{6}

Together they can do a part of work in 1 day= \frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{12}

                                                              = \frac{1}{4}

They can do  \frac{1}{4} work in days = 1

They can do complete work in days = 4

Hence they will take 4 days to complete the job
