p q and r are three numbers. p is 10 more than q and q is 8 more than r. the sum of the three numbers is 47. find p,q,r

Let r = x

q = x + 8

p = q + 10

p = x + 8 + 10

p = x + 18

According to the problem given ,

p + q + r = 47

x + 18 + x + 8 + x = 47

3x + 26 = 47

3x = 47 - 26

3x = 21

x = 21/3

x = 7

Therefore ,

r = x = 7 ,

q = x + 8 = 7 + 8 = 15

p = q + 10 = 15 + 10 = 25
