Given :-

  • R is the mid point of P, Q

Co- ordiantes of P = (0,0) Q = (8,8)

To find :-

Co-ordinates of midpoint i.e co-ordinates of R

Formula to know :-

{Mid \: point} = \dfrac{x_1 + x_2}{2} , \dfrac{y_1 +y_2}{2}

Solution :-

P = (0,0) Q =(8,8)

{x_1 = 0}

{y_1 = 0}

{x_2 = 8}

{y_2 = 8}

{R} = \dfrac{x_1 + x_2}{2} , \dfrac{y_1 +y_2}{2}

{R} = \dfrac{0+8}{2} , \dfrac{0+ 8}{2}

{R} = \dfrac{8}{2} , \dfrac {8}{2}

{(R=4,4)}

So, the co-ordinates of midpoint R = (4,4)
