Answer:

There is increase of 20%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : P's salary is 25% higher than q.

To find : What percentage is q's salary lower than that of p?

Solution :

Let Q's salary = Rs. 100

P's salary is 25% higher than q.

i.e. P’s salary = 125

The percentage is q's salary lower than that of p is given by,

r=(\frac{125-100}{125})\times 100

r=(\frac{25}{125})\times 100

r=\frac{1}{5}\times 100

r=20\%

Therefore, There is increase of 20%.
