Answer :

To find :

  • To check if the given values are zeros of the polynomial.

\large\underline\rm{Solution:-}

To check if the values are the zeros of the polynomial or not ,

◆Checking first value

Put x = \dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{3}}

p(x) =3×{\dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{3}}}^{2} - 1

p(x) = - 1 - 1

p(x) = 0

As , the answer is equal to zero , thus it is the zero of the given polynomial.

Checking second value

Put x = \dfrac{2}{\sqrt{3}}

p(x) = 3×{\dfrac{2}{\sqrt{3}}}^{2} - 1

p(x) = + 2 - 1

p(x) = 1

As , the answer is not equal to zero , thus it is not zero of the given polynomial.
