Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = 8x³ - 6x² - 4x + 3

g(x) = 2 - 3x

2 - 3x = 0

2 = 3x

x = 2/3

put x in p(x)

p(x) = 8x³ - 6x² - 4x + 3

p(2/3) = 8(2/3)³ - 6(2/3)² - 4(2/3) + 3

= 8(8/27) - 6(4/9) - 8/3 + 3

= 64/27 - 24/9 - 8/3 + 3

= (64 - 72 - 72 + 81)/27

= (145 - 144)/27

= 1/27

p(2/3) ≠ 0

so g(x) is not a factor of p(x)
