Answer:

x²-4x+3

a=1

b= -4

c=3

x²-4x+3=0

x²-x-3x+3=0

x(x-1)-3(x-1)=0

(x-3)(x-1)=0

x=1,3

Sum of roots= -b/a= -(-4/1)=4

α+β=3+1=4

Product of roots= c/a=3/1

αβ=3*1=3

Answer: -b/a or sum of roots = 4

c/a or product of roots = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 - 4x + 3 = 0

x^2 - 3x - x + 3 = 0

x(x-3) -1 (x-3) = 0

(x-1)(x-3)=0

x=1 or x =3

Sum of roots of the equation = 1+3 = 4 or -b/a where b is the coefficient of x which is '-4' and a is the coefficient of x^2  = -(-4)/1 = 4

Product of Roots of the equation = 1*3 = 3 or from the quadratic equation it is c/a where c is the constant and a is the coefficient of x^2 = 3/1 = 3
