Given equation

p² + 7p - 18=0

Solving, we get,

→ p² + 7p - 18=0

Sum of zeroes = 7

Product of Zeroes = -18

Suitable numbers : -2 and 9

→ p² - 2p + 9p - 18 = 0

→ p(p-2) + 9(p-2) = 0

→ (p+9)(p+2) = 0

Therefore,  (p+9)(p+2) is the factorised expression

let {p}^{2}  + 7p - 18 = 0 \\lets \: factorize \: 7p \\   {p}^{2}  - 2p + 9p = 19 =0 \\ p(p - 2) + 9(p - 2) = 0 \\ (p + 9) \:  \: (p - 2)  = 0\\ (p + 9) = 0 \:  \: (p - 2) = 0 \\ p =  - 9 \:  \: and \: p = 2
