पिता और पुत्र की वर्तमान आयु का अनुपात 3:1है तथा 14वर्ष वाद यह अनुपात 2:1हो जाता है उनकी वर्तमान उम्र क्या है?

let father be x years old and son be y years old.

now,

x: y= 3: 1

x= 3y

x-3y= 0....(1)

now,

after 14 Years,

father will be x+14 and son will be y+14 years old.

therefore,

x+14 2

y+14= 1

x+14= 2y+ 28

x-2y= 14.....(2)

now,

subtracting (1) from (2)

x-2y= 14

- x+ 3y= 0

y= 14

therefore,

son is presently 14 years old.

now, substituting age of son in eq (1)

x-3y=0

x-3(14) = 0

x-42= 0

x= 42

therefore,

father is presently 42 Years old
