Answer:

Answer (1)

Contraction of heart muscles

It's Simple

Explaination:

In a healthy heart, the SAN(sino-atrial node) continuously produces action potential, setting the rhythm of the heart and so is known as the heart's natural pacemaker. The rate of action potential production (and therefore the heart rate) is influenced by nerves that supply it.

The SAN can generate the maximum number of action potentials, i.e., 70 - 75 beats/min and is responsible for initiating and maintaining the rhythmic contractile activity of the heart. Therefore, it is called as the pacemaker of heart.
