But, L.S.A. of the cylinder = 132 cm² (given)

∴ $2\pi rh = 132$

substituting h = 7 cm

$\implies 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r \times 7 = 132$

$\implies 2 \times 22 \times r = 132$

$\implies r = \frac{132}{2 \times 22}$

$\implies \bold{r = 3\:cm}$ ← radius of the base of the cylinder

∴ Base diameter, d = 2 × r = 2 × 3 = 6 cm

Thus, the base diameter of a cylinder is → 6 cm.
