Step-by-step explanation:

Total good apples

= 200- 52

= 148

Each gift box has 21 apples

therefore,

148 / 21

so here we get,

Quotient = 7 and

rest = 1

it means 7 gift boxes were made and 1 good apple was left over.

Answer:

Total no. of apples = 200 apples

No. of apples that are rotten = 52 apples

∴ No. of apples that were good = 200 - 52 = 148 apples

No. of apples each gift box contains = 21 apples

148/21

∴ There were 7 gift boxes ( Quotient in the division )

∴ There was one apple left ( Remainder in the division)
