Here I am giving the multiple facets and talents of Sri Pandit Deendayal U.  A profile picture is also enclosed too.

Sri Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was a Indian, who influenced a large number of people like Gandhiji.  He was a nationalist leader in Bharatiya Jana Sangh & RSS, that formed BJP later on. He was a multi-talented and multifaceted fighter of 20th century for the cause of the common man.  Such principled idealists are rare in the world.

He was a noted economist, writer, editor, political scientist, journalist, sociologist, historian, thinker, employer and philosopher too.  He was a hardworking organiser, speaker and influenced his followers through his idealism, intelligence and completeness of his ideas.  He dedicated his life for the public and lived very simple.  He was influenced by Gandhiji's principles and lived selflessly the Gandhian way.

He is respected for his good leadership, idealism and humanism.  He could discuss issues excellently with tough leaders.  He was principled.  He even expelled some MLAs in Rajasthan as they opposed Jamindari Abolition Act.

He was an editor and good employer.  In 1940s, he started a monthly “Rashtra Dharma”, a weekly "Panchajanya" and a daily “Swadesh” from Lucknow.  He believed that "Dharma" was the correct guiding principle to govern a state.

He was a good writer too.  He wrote a drama in Hindi “Chandragupta Maurya” and a biography of “Shankaracharya”.  He translated biography of Hedgewar (founder of RSS) into Hindi from Marathi.

He was good in academics securing gold medal in Board exams.  He studied  in Birla college in Pilani with a scholarship.  Later he studied Arts in degree and literature in P.G.  He joined public service with an intention to serve the common man.  He left the service to help the people.

DeenDayal was a proponent of an alternative model of governance and politics.  He argued that neither governing philosophies of the West (capitalisam) or the East (communism) were suitable for India.  He preferred  socialism with changes.  His socio-economic governance model is called as Integral Humanism Theory (IHT) which was adopted by BJS/RSS/BJP.  He supported the concept of National sector (public sector organizations).  His principles are appreciated by many intellectuals including Dr. Subrahmanya Swamy and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

I cannot make a drawing and give you. However, I can suggest a scheme and outline for the drawing.

The drawing/sketch/illustration is to show that Pandit D Upadhyaya had advocated for indigenous economics and administration models.  If you sketch some thing to demonstrate some of the following ideas/principles that he firmly believed, it will be appropriate.  You could have a drawing with more than one sketches side by side.  It may not be difficult for an artist to come up with drawings once the topic is clearly given.

In these drawings put captions that will add to the understanding the sketch.

1. Small units & manufacture by the masses for the masses...  Opportunities for Entrepreneurship.

2.  Land ownership by people rather than by the state.

3.  A National sector with Public sector - private sector Partnership.  Against total corporatization and centralization.

4.  Economic freedom to the people and the right to work.
People can choose what they can do.

5.  Against the Five year planning system.

6. Self-reliance in food production and other materials and services.

7.  Secular state and united state,  with decentralized power.

8.  Against Capitalists making a lot of profits beyond Dharma

9.  Wanted Dharma be the guiding principle for the state

10.  Wanted socialistic approach with some changes

11. Technology adapted to suite local requirements

12. Advocate of self-governance

13.  Principled honest administration and fearlessness to oppose.
